In February 2012 the Pesitho team travelled to Northern Uganda, where their first local cooperative is located outside of the Bidi Bidi Refugee settlement. They are working in partnership with Caritas Denmark, CIDI and Caritas Uganda. The work they are doing will provide additional impetus for installing a similar cooperative around the Mountain Gorilla habitat near Bwindi. Reduction in deforestation will be a big help in protecting the Gorilla Habitat.
